YUANN is a film director and photographer born in Shanghai and based in Tokyo, whose work is shaped by his multicultural background. He began his career as a graphic designer before becoming an art director, later moving into filmmaking nearly seven years ago. This visual foundation led him to found the Tokyo-based creative studio Kidzfrmnowhere.
Known for crafting immersive and visually striking worlds, YUANN has developed a distinctive voice across film and photography. His work blends cultural sensitivity with a bold visual language, and has led to collaborations with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Zara, Gucci, Nike, Shiseido, Gentle Monster, and Ambush. His signature style is defined by vibrant imagery, rapid montages, and a strong sense of visual storytelling.
